what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?

child lead learning, waiting for your child to develop their unique gifts and interest without the interference of a set curriculum. Believing that each child develops at their own pase and in the child's own time they will take an interest in learning and with that develop a love for learning.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?

My twins are in pre-k at the moment. I spend the summer break testing the waters.

a little about me

I'm a dance teacher and mother. Having many friends who work for the school systems and having had one of my children attend with an early IEP I'm not thrilled with the way they push subjects already. This summer I decided to be guided by their interest in the performing arts and approach things in a different way. Although the girls will be attending pre-k this year I plan on taking this year to do my research and make plans starting the kindergarden year.
