"What you're describing sounds more like academic unschooling or eclectic homeschooling than radical unschooling. Radical unschooling (as defined for the purposes of this site) isn't "unschooling for radical people"…"

Looking for unschool families in the Virginia Beach area to share classes and a CSA Project

We are a large military family transferring from Hawaii to Virginia Beach in 10 short (very short) days. We are new to homeschooling but not new to teaching (been a teacher on and off for 20 years, since teaching religious school to tots as a kid myself). Really hoping to connect with other unschoolers and possibly share classes? what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?: Teaching what I want and what my children want to learn without outside pressures or following some learning protocol.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?: Just started!

first names of children: Jonathan, Aidan (likes to be called Jaden), Joshua, Jullian, and Eve

a little about me: A Navy veteran, prior Gov't contractor, still own a business in Healing and Spiritual Practice, ordained Minister, natural mama of 5 beautiful beings of light (with plans for another soul soon), new to homeschooling but loving it, gardener extraordinaire, and really awesome in the kitchen :D (at least I think so)
