- what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
- To me radical unschooling is partnershiop with my family members. It is about healthy relationships with my kids and my spouse, and about watching (and helping when the need arises) my kids develop. It is giving my kids the freedom to explore who they are and what they are interested in, and helping when they ask.
- how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
- My husband and I have been homeschooling for 5 years. We've been unschooling the same amount of time. We originally unschooled because we didn't know what to do, then discovered that this was the very best thing for our daughter.

- Helen, 10 yrs old.
Alexis, 5 3/4 (emphasis on the 3/4, very important to her)
- a little about me
- I work outisde the home. My husband is the stay-at-home parent. I have really had to work on my knee-jerk reaction to try to control things (including my kids) in my journey to unschool, then radically unschool. I have a constant voice in my head to remind me to think before I speak or react -- because I still have my very traditional upbringing that rings in my ears.
