- trusting the child's natural curiosity to learn all that they need to learn. supporting their interests as well as watching them support themselves in gathering resources to create and learn. believing that the richest learning will take place when children are seeking out their own learning rather than in a forced curriculum.

- i used to be a high school math teacher. since i had Johari, I have rethought what i want for her growth. we just moved to ohio in feb 2012. we were living in cities until now. we are currently living very rurally and looking for like-minded community. i love traveling. i lived one year in Tanzania several years ago.
