what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?

I think we're still defining it for ourselves, but we want our children to be able to learn organically, to follow their interests and have control over their lives. We are trying to treat them with the respect we give each other.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?

Our daughter will be turning six soon, so she would be starting Kindergarten this fall if she was going to school. We attachment parent and always have, so in a way I guess we've always unschooled, and in a way I feel like we haven't really started.

a little about me

My name is Jordan, my sweetheart is named Mark. We're in our mid-twenties. I had a really difficult time in school and have a lot of trauma around school, I think. I definitely wanted something different for my daughter. I also didn't like the idea of having her gone most of the day or being confined to school schedules. I am really hoping to find some friends and mentors in our area who are also unschooling.
