My husband watched a 20/20 on diabetes dogs. I think the main thing is for the dog to be able to recognize her "low sugars." I would imagine that a young pup would be the best choice.

Welcome to the group. I see you are a dog trainer. I have many dogs. ( dont ask) I love them. I want to figure out how to train a puppy to help my daughter with her type 1 diabetes. Have you heard of these dogs?
