We may start hanging out during the knitting time (Late afternoonish on Wednesday?), although being in a cionfined space is not always best for my two youngest (5 and 3)...we know lots of people who are taking classes at TT, but so far, my older two are happy NOT taking classes....the social bit might be good though...... ;) for all of us!
Peace,
Beth

Hi Kelly,
Typical Woosta weather! It seems the holidays came and went in a flash b/c of it....I'm enjoying all the indoor stuff and so are the kids...knitting, new computer games, cutting and taping (!).....Nice to see you here.
I hope you and your daughter are well!
Peace,
Beth
P.S. I saw that your dd is at the Think Tank....how does she like it?

I really enjoyed your slide show - who is the itty-bitty baby?

HSC conference was especially great this year - lots and lots of fun things to do. I like seeing the influence of Live and Learn on the HSC conference - more mixed-age activities rather than age-segregated and funshop types of activities like ATC's.

Hey Kelly, I visited Worcester last summer with my family. We stayed nearby at lake Webster, also known as Lake Chargoggagoggmanchogagogchabunnagungamogg! Honest. Well, you probably know about it. My kids spent weeks practicing how to say it. It is a really beautiful part of the country to live in.

Ahhhh, sounds like it was an interesting and fulfilling trip for your daughter. Having been active in the Civil Rights movement there in the early 60s, I certainly understand her indignation; but I do hafta admit that it's a LOT better there (and in all of the South) now than it was before the Civil Rights Act of 65. Parenthetically, if you've seen or heard of the movie Passing Glory, the "all-White" high school depicted in that movie is the one I attended, although we were integrated before 65. It's an interesting small-scale look at that time period. It's a movie, so it's not reality; but it's pretty accurate.
