what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?

Inside-out journey of learning rather than following a tradition approach of competition-driven superficial success-oriented learning with no real purpose or goal. It's going against the culture because of a desire to live an authentic life even at an early age with our kids and not trying to please others just to fit in and be accepted.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?

I've been unschooling and homeschooling for over 10 years but had a few years lapse when I felt pressure to conform. I'm back and more confident than ever that this approach works and works very well.

I help others know that it's ok to be different and to trust the kids to take responsibility for their own education and how to do that. I have a local unschooling group for Santa Barbara called Link-Up - you can find us on Facebook in a private group!
