a little about me
I come from a science background, love birds, love to hike, bike and xc ski. I also love to quilt and knit, especially in a liberated style. I started hand spinning last year and just love creating my own yarn. You'll usually find me with some sort of textile in my hands.

Thanks so much for replying Kristin! Even having lived in Oregon all my life, I've never been to Bend. I had this idea in my head that it was just for rich people who ski. :p It was actually thrown out in conversation not too long ago, as my husband mentioned that job opportunities in his work will likely be opening up around the state soon, and that may be one of the areas. (He does government-funded low-income home weatherization.) I would love to come check out the area, I will let you know when we do so we can get some good tips and meet the local unschoolers.

By the way, I am delighted to find that the the woman whose quilts I have been a fan of for some time is an unschooler!!!
