Profile Information

what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?: It means for my family to be getting exactly what they need. To take the time to follow and support them in their exploration of life. They are dynamic, creative and very aware little beings and it it my job not to cover that up! I am constantly asking myself "why" and "why" again when a conditioned thought about what we should or shouldn't be doing pops into my head. It has been wonderful growth in letting go. Now I can't imagine why I held on for so long!

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?: For 2 very fun years.

a little about me: I am loving the Radical Unschooling life we are living. We live in a co-housing development at the base of the Rocky Mountains. I am a birth junkie, but not currently teaching classes or working as a doula. I am also very into sustainable living, cooking and preserving food, gardening and living naturally. I love to read and explore and have deep philosophical discussions (especially about unschooling!). Our family just settled down in the summer 08 after living on the road in our RV and traveling for over a year. I am a nomad at heart and truly miss RV. I enjoy trying new things and probably have way too many hobbies and projects lying around unfinished, but I am happy and like it that way!
