- It's a natural extension of our trust in children to learn, to removing limits and rules and instead learning to trust our children with principles and facilitating their own choice making in things such as bedtimes and food choices.
- how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
- Following many of unschooling principles since C. was born. Radical unschooling for four years.

- Bilingual English/French family. I was born in Connecticut and have lived in Miami, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina (twice - once in Asheville and once in Chapel Hill), and Buenos Aires Argentina. I'm about to add Little Rock, Arkansas to my list.
I love the beach, reading good paranormal fiction, learning about new things, and travel...not in any particular order.

Does your daughter speak French and Spanish? I'd be curious to know more about how you handle multiple languages in your house. I speak English to dd, dh speaks German to her, and dh and I speak French to each other. So far dd doesn't seem to understand very much French, and prefers speaking English, although she has no problem understanding German (she's 3.) I'm trying to see this as conducting a little linguistics experiment, and trying to not put pressure on dd to learn any particular language... It's hard sometimes living in Montreal, people expect her to know French!
