what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?: It means that I've stopped trying to impede and control the natural processes of learning, growing and being in my home just to fit societies notions of what parenting and learning should look like and feel like. It means I am a guide and learning facilitator, not a teacher. It means as a parent I both give and receive respect, love and acceptance. It means I focus more on training my mind than my child's. I do not own her, I only travel with her in her journey. It means I have chosen happiness, charity, clarity, responsibility and calm as a lifestyle.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?: I began my homeschool adventure about 4 yrs ago. I started dipping my toe in unschooling abnout a year ago.

a little about me: I like to think, to laugh, to learn and to be present in the moment. I'm an atheist/Bright/freethinker. I’m a foster parent on a respite basis, but have been trained as a therapeutic foster parent. I like yoga, biking, hiking, swimming and camping. I'm all about body diversity acceptance and diversity in general. I'm a fan of ideas that work. I'm vegan. I love to cook. I used to rehabilitate abused and neglected animals. We have 5 pets and they are enough for now.
