what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?: The chance for a child to be fully engaged in the world and in loving andrespectful relationships with others. The chance to be deeply connected with the natural world. The freedom and time and rich materials needed to follow interests and develop competencies ina hands on, problem solving way.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?: I've been a public school teacher for 30 plus years, always involved in school reform and seeking meaningful, student directed learning for my students.

first names of children: I'm now looking for opportunities and options for my grandson, Dominic, who is 5.

a little about me: Teacher, reader, grower, trekker, biker, someone who values community, learning by doing, everyone teaching and everyone learning, joyful, grateful learning and living.
