Yes, 10:30 seems to be the average! I'm still trying to get my 3 year old to sleep in past 7!

I remember that thread! For what it's worth, I moved two months ago and am still not all the way unpacked. My daughter would probably make the same decision about school for the same reason your son did. If she is up before 10:30 am, it's early....

That was a good read, and a happy one!

Back in April, I was packing up to move....again, and I asked you awesome mama's for advice, to find my "Zen" http://familyrun.ning.com/forum/topics/1-month-to-moveyoung-boys I FINALLY have a moment,(actually, this window has been up for a couple...

Sandra, I love that! How fun, and what a great way to involve the kids! We have a nice slow move coming too, so this will be possible. We just found out it's next week Friday, not two more weeks...way to bump it up even closer, huh? The good part ...

I have a general moving tip. Play Sardines in the new place before you fill it up with stuff. That will keep closets and little corners from ever being scary. When we first moved we got to move slowly, and it was me and three kids 5 to 11, becaus...

Alright! So far, I see that I need to leave the boy's room stuff for last, I can do that! If there are some barely used things I can pack up unoticed, I should tape it up, and get it out! I can do THAT! Yes, I've been thinking of ways to include ...

Movies and video games. Find them new and interesting things to look at quietly while you clean and pack. If there's a box of toys you don't want them to get into, tape it shut and put it where they can't find it. Don't TELL them, just do it. Bu...

Hey, Mama Cass! Though I was not born and bred in Issaquah (I'm Canadian, born in Victoria, BC), I really love it here. How do you like Ellensburg?

Happy New Year!

Profile Information

what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
Living life naturally, and for me, learning to throw out "limits" and the word "no". Learning through living our daily life, and exploring as experiences move us, in any direction, at any time! Unschooling for me, is so many things...too many to put in this small space!
how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
Pretty much since C's birth, and then R's birth.....through their life, we've been unschooling, I just figured it out around a couple of years ago, and began learning how to do it better! One thing I know.....I have a LONG way to go!
names and ages of children
Canyon 11/11/03 born at home/water
River 12/30/05 born at home/water
I am the proud birthmom to Sam 5/10/00
a little about me
I'm a loopy nut job! I am always learning, I'm a sponge! I love my boys more than anything, and only wish the absolute BEST for them! I love my husband, my true supporter in the craziness of this house! I used to be a very different person, than the stay at home mom I am now....and I LOVE my life now!
