- what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
- To me it means that we are "out of the system" learning every day in ways that are natural and fluid. No schedules to keep, no classes to take. Just living life.
- how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
- We have been homeschooling since my oldest was 4 (he is now 7). Unschooling has come more slowly, due to the reluctance of my husband, but he is *finally* on board and we are officially unschooling!
- names and ages of children
- I have two beautiful sons. Sage is 7 and Quinn is 3.
- a little about me
- I'm an AP mom and a LLL leader. I love to read and knit and hang out with friends. I'm extremely behind in my scrapbooking, but would love to get back into it at some point. I've been married to my dh for 15 years.

J/K...I am a Melissa Gray, so it's really funny to meet you. There are a few other Melissa Grays in my hometown as well...welcome to the list, it's really a big help.
Oddly enough, I love to read, am learning to knit, and I too am years behind in my scrapbooking. And one month to our 15 year anniversary (cue Twilight Zone music) lol!
yeah, I hear you. It took my husband forever to let go of old ideas about education... but he finally did... a few months ago!!! He finally sees how important the amazing unschooling lifestyle is to freedom and now he is working on unschooling himself! Yahoo!

Also, do you know about SoCAUnschoolers? They're a yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SoCalUnschoolers/ It's not an RU group but you might be able to find some people there. Good luck finding your way.
