J/K...I am a Melissa Gray, so it's really funny to meet you. There are a few other Melissa Grays in my hometown as well...welcome to the list, it's really a big help.
Oddly enough, I love to read, am learning to knit, and I too am years behind in my scrapbooking. And one month to our 15 year anniversary (cue Twilight Zone music) lol!
yeah, I hear you. It took my husband forever to let go of old ideas about education... but he finally did... a few months ago!!! He finally sees how important the amazing unschooling lifestyle is to freedom and now he is working on unschooling himself! Yahoo!

Also, do you know about SoCAUnschoolers? They're a yahoo group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SoCalUnschoolers/ It's not an RU group but you might be able to find some people there. Good luck finding your way.
