Teens, and Unschooling

I've been unschooling my boys for over a year now, and I'm having  concerns that I'm missing something in their education in the areas of Math and English. They've never had much of an interest in writing, even if I asked them to write about something they loved using the computer they wouldn't have an interest in writing about it. Is this something that I should just let go, or should I be encouraging them more in this area? And when it comes to Math they have a good foundation on the basics,…See More

what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
I'm just beginning to understand what radical unschooling is, in away it's hard for me to think outside of learning from text books, but I'm doing my best. =)
how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
I've been traditional homeschooling on and off for about 10yrs, will a couple of years doing cyber school. However, I'm really interested in unschooling, and want to learn more about it.
first names of children

a little about me
I'm a stay at home mom with three boys. We're a home-schooling, transferring to unschooling family. I love having my children at home with me and truly playing a part in their learning experience. I'm also very much into ministry and enjoy sharing my experiences and testimony of what God has done for me with others.

"First and foremost, I am a mom to 9 little ones. I have been lovingly home educating for 9 years. I have been through it all as a school at homer, Cyber Schooler, eclectic and now an unschooler by heart. I am a certified teacher for K-8. I have worked with children of all ages, gender and nationalities for years and children are my passion! I truly believe that children and people grow daily, it is part of our nature. Spring 2010 is my fourth year evaluating. I am also happy to do consulting and support of burnt out moms (I have been there!). I am opposed to over-compliance and I am happy to help you learn the laws. I will travel for groups, do distance or in-person evaluations. I would be happy to work out whatever system will make your child most comfortable with the process." (added 5/07, updated 4/10)
