"Thank you for your fresh perspective on unschooling. I continually find advice on how to unschool that is rooted in philosophy from a time before the world as we know it. Your perspective on this and other topics I have read has brought unschooling…"

"Sometimes it seems the world (mayhap the US society alone?) is set up with independence and dependence as nemeses! One must be all one or the other, certainly not a balance of both, with nothing in between. Unschooling has shown me a big open grey…"

"That sounds like the rest of us have our heads in the sand and are looking at the philosophy rather than our kids. To put it best I would use your own quote... A common misunderstanding of discussion boards is assuming posts are a dialog between…"

Profile Information

what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
For me it means trusting my child to learn the things that he needs to learn without coercion, rewards or punishment. It is about him allowing the freedom to follow his passions.
how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
I think I have been moving towards it gradually since my son was born, but I have become more passionate about it the more I have found out about it.

a little about me
I live n Sheffield with my husband and son. I am an artist- who never seems to do any art these days. I am a creative type and I make clothes, cook and generally enjoy creating things. My newest hobby is running.
