"My very extroverted oldest child could exhaust even me and I'm pretty extroverted, myself. The best advice I have is to arrange for other kids to come very very often to your house -- they can play and hang out while you can still get your time…"

Good Morning Pamela,
I am a knew parent to Radical Unschooling, investigating with sheer delight as worry about my 10 year old son's health, happiness and welfare, particularly in his current public school environment. Last week I kept him home ~ two words describe the experience for he and I ~ "Delightfully Engaged". Begrudgingly I sent him to school this week while IEP testing is unfolding as well as the political STAR testing. He wants to come home; I told him I would go and get him when the testing is through. I feel like a rebel; he is so miserable in the classroom even with only 6 weeks left of the school year. I am already mentally working towards my own deschooling and suppose I am looking for support from others to say, "Go get him!". Thanks! Marcie

Sorry to have missed you at the park yesterday. I almost packed up your chair and took it to the studio, until I found out that you had just gone for a walk... :) Talk to you soon.

Thank you for taking the time to define radical yesterday. That definition has helped me get over my stumbling block with the ru term. A term that I knew fit but I was hesitant to use. I appreciate the time you spend speaking to us on Weds. Thank you.
