how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?

I'm a little different from most unschooling moms in that I'm not able to homeschool my son. Explore & learn at home, encouraging the unschooling philosophy, but traditional daycare/school during the week. It's financially impossible for me to homeschool my sweet boy, but I believe there are ways to practice this philosophy without the norm of homeschooling. Outside the box and inside at the same time, I suppose. When my son reaches school age, our community is blessed with schools that have alternative learning programs, such as School Within A School.

a little about me

I've lived in Fayetteville, AR since I was three years old. My mother ran an in home daycare my entire life until she passed away last year. My family moved into what used to be her daycare when she died. Children, the way they learn, play, & grow, have been a part of my life as long as I can remember.
