Roblox Question

My son has expressed interest in learning to write scripts in Roblox. The (little) research I've done points me to Lua programming, but I'm hoping someone here can point me to a basic programming book or website with scripts that he can copy? The books I've found on the language look to be written for pretty advanced/professional programmers.See More

We had a bunch of errands to run today, and the car radio seems to be the time when I find out what's going on in the world by listening to news radio. Most of the time Isaac just zones out, playing his DSi in the backseat. Today, he was listening.

"What's going on??" he asks.

"We're running errands..." I respond.

"No, I mean on the news with that country. Is there a war?"

So I try to summarize the current crises in the middle-east to their most basic points…

Reminding Myself

So I just remembered about this blog option on here and figured I might as well write down the fun and interesting learny things that we do in our family. This is for those "bad" days, when I doubt what we're doing, fear that I'm screwing up my son, don't think he's learning anything useful - so I can look back and say, yes..we are. And while it might…

Hey Sandra, thanks for commenting on my post. I started homeschooling the same time you did although the unschooling didn't start until a couple of months later (I was doing Unit Studies). I wondered if you have found that you have more, not less, time on your hands with unschooling. It seems that now that I have come to accept No as an acceptable answer I am able to say No to more things for myself. I don't pretend to enjoy "girls night out" when I'd rather be home with my family I just stay home. And I don't care nearly as much about how clean the house is, homeschooling is the perfect excuse for an ecclecticly dirty home : ). Anyway, I was just curious if another new unschooled was having the same pleasant side effect.
