Profile Information

what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?: Allowing my children to grow up free to be who they choose. To learn what they have a desire to learn, for as long as they choose to learn it. To change at will.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?: Since I quit school after 10th grade. My kids on the other hand, pretty much from the beginning, which would be 16 years. My kids have tried their hand at public school and now regard it with great disdain.

a little about me: We have lived in Bellingham off and on for 14 years. I am a wandering gypsy girl who has decided to stay for awhile and actually get a REAL JOB! My family has always wandered, yet I feel compelled to stay here for awhile. It feels good to be here,to know people and build community with my children. I am a mosaic artist and a single loving mama. My main claim to fame is the raising up of 3 brilliant, loving and beautiful people! So far, so good and getting better all the time.
