what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
I guess it means totally trusting children to educate themselves in their own way. I swing between wanting to teach formally and letting them be. Mostly I'm 'unschooling by default', that is to say, I do let them do their thing, but it's kind of killing me! I know in my head that unschooling is great, but I'm finding it really hard to unschool myself. I also like some Charlotte Mason ideas, so I often say we're "unschooling with charlotte mason" but in practice that means going for walks!!
how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
I've been homeschooling 9 years, mostly unschooling for maybe 6 years.
names and ages of children
Dragon-tamer 12
Pony-rider 8
Motor-biker 6
Baba Zonee 5
a little about me
I'm a total book addict, always buying and reading curriculum (mostly literature-based)

Hi Shoshana! Glad to see you here! I have days where I think I'll forever be "de-schooling" myself. Even though we've been unschooling for almost 10 years, I have my moments where I forget to trust the natural learning process. The Lord always leads me back to Unschooling and reminds me to trust in Him.

Hi Shoshana,
I'm in the Uk unschoolers group.

I can relate to the unschooling our selves bit!!!
As I read more and more on this site and other blogs I am gaining a deeper understanding of what it means to Radically unschool and it is helping enormously.

Nice to meet you xx
