- what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
- We trust, because we believe that it’s simply not possible to live even one day without learning something, that we will all learn all we need to live the life we want. Just as we trusted, and have seen happen, that our children would learn to read simply by living in a home where reading was natural and joyful, we know that they can also learn to sleep when their bodies need rest, to eat the foods their bodies need. Our boys learn how to be in relationship with others by sharing their lives with others, both in our home and in the larger world outside of it; we are their facilitators in finding their way, wherever we go.

- We are whole-life unschoolers living in Albuquerque, where we spend our days doing what makes us happy, enjoying the company of friends and learning all kinds of cool things as we go. Along the way I spend time reading, knitting, when I’m not reveling in long, swirly conversations with my kids.

It wasn't me that you met. We are in N Kohala (Hawi, Kapa;au) district about 1 hour out of Kona near Pololu Valley. I would be more than happy to meet and get to hang out with other unschoolers on our home turf! Unfortunately your visit will be right at Little League All Star tournament time where DS will be playing, DH will be coaching and I will be scorekeeping, as well as final long course island wide swim meet for DD! Yikes! We'll be on the road as none of these events will happen in our little area. But who knows? Keep in touch as your visit gets closer - maybe a picnic en route or something like that would work. I'd enjoy meeting you~
