what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?

I've heard the term but I'm not sure what it means. To me, it sounds like letting kids learn their own way, which is what I would like to do for my son (at least). My daughter seems the type to thrive in a traditional school setting but my son is quite different. I confess...I don't much like the idea of my kids being home all the time. I have to have time away from them.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?

My kids are only 3 and 5. We haven't had to start yet. My husband has mentioned both homeschooling and unschooling to me. (This from a public school teacher!)

a little about me

My name is Teddy Talley; I'm a stay at home mother. I'm pretty much a stay at home type person...I like being alone and I liked having babies but now that they're older, I find it hard to connect with my kids. My first instinct is to send them off to school and be done with it but part of me feels this may hurt them more in the long run.
