Profile Information

what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
"Radical Unschooling" means being Radical and Not Schooling our children, but rather, letting them be radical (or whatever they choose to be) and learn in their own way that needs no label, no method imposed on them, or even any certain pre-determined direction or "outcome." They are who they are and they will become whom they will become when They are ready -- Be Radical -- Unschool.
how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
Since conception of our first son, we have been discussing and living it out -- we have a 4 1/2 year old and a 2 1/2 year old and they are definitely gifted in ways that we are seeing newly every day. So, for their whole lives, our sons have been with us and learning at home -- of their own accord and unique design.
first names of children
Adam Sagan (after Carl Sagan) Herrera -- 4.5 years old.
Hunter (after Hunter S. Thompson) Kingston Herrera -- 2.5 years old.
a little about me
I actually completed my Bachelor's Degree in Education in 2000 and through those studies, I was internally convinced through quantitative and qualitative evidence of the inadequacies that are inherent in industrial, institutional, school-based Education. Being unashamed of my Idealism, I am trying to maintain my stance and live in my belief that there is a better way to help children discover their unique brilliance, their individual gifts, and the fact that we are all have original rights to our genius -- both individually and collectively. I would love to connect with other Parents who want to pursue the Art of Unschooling -- together we can discover alternative routes to Life, Liberty, and Happinesses ... Contact Us Today!!! We would love to meet you and your family.
