what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
It stirs up crazy images in my head when I hear radical. I actually think our lifestyle is "normal" and everyone else that ships their kids off to be raised by the school system is going against the natural flow of life. Now if you want to call us RAD unschoolers, that I can relate to.
how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
about 13 yrs., pretty much since oldest was born...just didn't know it yet

3. What makes Mom sad?

when we don't brush our teeth

4. How does Mom make you laugh?

5. What was Mom like as a child?

Hi Vicki,
I love it! I read your blog (yes, people are reading it!) and I am amazed. We lived in a Eurovan for 7 months, which was supposed to be a year, and we would love to do it again.

I would love to talk with you sometime to find out more!
smiles and blessings,
Rain

That top photo, your banner photo, looks like northern New Mexico. Maybe it is and maybe it isn't, but if it is I'm guessing it's between Bernalillo and San Ysidro, or maybe it's something further north on the same highway. (If I were on Jeopardy and they asked... that's what I'd guess.)

Hi Vicki!!
So nice to find you here, it has been a while, hasn't it? I am hoping life is treating you well and your days are happy.

p.s. you are such a sweetie, my profile pic is from this year, ha ha. but I own you $15 for saying such a kind thing.

i hate to tell you this but you can't change the privacy setting on your group after it's been created. here's how it looks in the creating a group section:

Privacy
Choose who can join this group. Privacy can't be changed after the group is created.

Anyone
Only Invited People
Members can invite other people to join.
Allow people to request an invitation >>

if you really want to make this group private, i would suggest copying everything that is currently in the discussions (and comments as well) into notepad or something. make a list of all the members too. then delete the group. then create it again using the same name and image. copy your old discussions and comments into a new discussion section and call it "all the stuff from old group" or whatever. then invite all the members back. with a private group, all members have to be approved. it's something you have to check regularly so that you can be sure people requesting an invite get one.

sorry for all the trouble, but this is the best solution i can think of.
