- what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
- For me, learning to trust is at the core of the radical unschooling philosophy. If I want genuine relationships in my life, I have to trust my kids and dh ... that they are doing their best in every moment, that they will learn what they need to by living life, and that they will become who they were meant to be by following their passions. Like most of you, this philosophy is a far cry from the way I was raised (and dh, too), so we are working hard to create an environment filled with respect and joy for our children and each other.
- how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
- I began reading about radical unschooling about a year ago, and joined our local tribe six months ago. It's great to be able to hang out with fellow unschoolers.

- Sahil 4.5 y.o. and Rajan 2.5 y.o.
- a little about me
- I'm a SAHM to my two boys. I love being home and wouldn't trade it for anything, though I find it more challenging than anything else I've ever done. :)
I grew up in Maine. My immediate family is all back there now, but it's too cold for dh and I. :) In my free time, I like to read and work in my garden. I'm also an avid runner and hope to start racing again (I haven't raced since 2003). My goal is to complete an Ironman ... I just need to make the time to train.
