Hey Girl-
We had a lot of fun at the fair with you guys. Hope you guys had lots of fun too! We are busy for the rest of this week, but maybe we can get together again the following week. Let me know what you have going on!

Hi Willow,
Yes, we are doing well, still trying to figure out what works best.. since both girls are so radically different and need different kinds of help. But it's much harder with the new baby around, since so much of my time is trying to keep her out of the older girl's stuff... I know this time will pass all too quickly, but somedays I would love to be able to do "my" kind of things as well. But that is on the back burner until she gets more independent and can do things alone or with her sisters. Shalee turns 12 next monday, which I can not believe...where does the time go?
So how are things in sunny Florida?
Hope all is well!

Hi girl,
I occassionally get on family playtime and have recently seen your posts. Unschooling is so much fun, cause you can do all kinds of things and see how your kids like or dislike them. Copying is something my second child has done all by herself and is just now wanting to know how and what things say. She's just now liking to write things which is so unlike my 1 year old, who already loves to draw and use markers....every kid is sooooo different. Each in their own time! It's neat to see them progress with things and to see when they want to do things. My third girl is sooo smart and gets things almost immediately! My second is a watch and stand back kind of kid. After much thinking or observing, then she'll participate... Where my third wants to do everything her big sisters are doing, so we have a big challenge.
Life is full and very active everyday. I wish I had more time to explore this website sometime...but all in due time! My third keeps me so busy, I can't be on the computer when she gets up...she loves to hit the keyboard! It totally screwed up the kids computer!
Great to hear from you and can't wait to hear more from you as you grow and learn from your little one!

Hi Willow,
Glad to see you here too. It's Michelle from Charleston... Hope your move to Florida was good...so stressful. I wouldn't want to do that again. We love it here in Charleston and don't miss Florida. (We moved almost 10 years ago from Naples.) We've distanced ourselves from his family. Greg's sister lives in West Palm, but we don't have much contact with her anymore. That's a whole other story. But I'm sure you'll love it there. His sister says there is sooo much to do there! So goodluck and enjoy.
Since having the baby last year, did you know that? I had another little girl in July last year... another homebirth in water totally unassisted....just the girls and I. Daddy caught and I had another short labor. She is absolutely wonderful and we are so glad we have her in our lives. But I find it hard to get on the net and look around. Babies require so much time, which is something I had forgotten... But I do read as much as possible whenever I get the chance. It's hard to unschool, when you have all that public school stuff in your head and what you think you should do for your kids and what they should know. But whenever I feel anxious about all that, I just come to places like this and read. Then all those doubts leave and I feel good about what my kids know. I watch all the things they do and how they interact with others. Then I get comments from adults who are amazed at my kids and it makes me proud that we have unschooled them.
I diverse, but I just wanted to say hello and glad to see you here.
