"Hi! I posted this on the Florida Unschoolers group, but just in case... Just to be sure...is TLC still meeting up? If they are, where can I find parents? I know most kids are at the park, while most teens meet at the library."

Profile Information

what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?
Something simple: the freedom to be in charge of your learning. You use both common and uncommon ways to learn, but unlike other people, a school, teacher, or curriculum never takes over you.
how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?
Officially (in my eyes) since 17 February 2009, the day I stopped going to school; loosely, since the days I did tons of research on unschooling.
first names of children
None; I'm both the unschooling "child" and "parent". My parents don't believe in what I'm doing, so I take the role.
a little about me
This is a hard question. Let's crack our knuckles and get to it!

People act different depending on situations. The same applies to me. In the end, I'm just an 19-year old willing to try new things. Art, books, and thinking are turn-ons. Stubbornness + coercion = no-no's.

Meet-Ups

The last blog was crazy. Thank you Slinky and Sandra Dodd for adding what needed to be said. Unfortunately, I get rant-like when I feel someone's dignity is being trampled upon. I hope you understand.

Anyway...

Is anyone here willing to host someone? I'm a member of such groups but haven't seen enough posts. So asking the whole community sounds like a good idea. I don't know when I'll visit other places, but I'm still interested in being informed.

From my recent Blogger post

My online Monday time was in the evening, giving me horrible eye pain. I cannot go on with little light, though I can't or don't want to go earlier. Just had to mention that.

This is being typed on the public library computer, which sucks because it's always popping up windows about encrypted information. Ugh! Guess it's best to use my grandparents' computer for hours (I really, really like the Internet and go out of hand with usage and… Continue

Another blog!

It's quite hard to maintain two blogs. If you guys don't mind, I will copy posts from my Blogger. I like writing about unschooling so you won't miss nothing.

Thanks for the info. I don't do the tweeting thing yet but I will look for you on facebook for sure. Port St. Lucie is kind of a sleepy town but it has it's good points. It's a very suburban lifestyle here which is nice compared to our last digs. We lived in a really sketchy part of West Palm Beach (very close to downtown) and I felt like I was suffocating there with everyone squished together and very little trees.....but of course you must know what that feels like in Miami! Ha ha! My husband is also from Miami but he's from Homestead down by the Redlands. We visit his extended family there a few times a year. Where are you in proximity?

Hi Netzi I am sorry that was for someone to replace me when I was done and they already found someone. I however found that transcribing job on craigslist. I had to weed through all the BS ones though. Another thing you could look at would be elance.com. Good Luck!
