what does "radical unschooling" mean to you?: Unschooling for me would be a way to promote my children to think creatively and curiously.

how long have you been unschooling or homeschooling?: This is my first year homeschooling. Initially I believed that it would allow me to teach from a less-bias curriculum. However, I soon realize that the same mental strain was present in home-school and I had become the warden.

a little about me: It's funny that the first thing I usually think of when telling a little about me is my educational credential. Yet, I know that tells little about me as a "real" person. So here goes...I love to help people and I enjoy going to the beach. I'm in Atlanta, GA. My parents never challenged the status quo, so I'm a product of blind allegiance, 30 yr old unemployed degree'd professional. I initially started this alternative journey because my parents did not. I never want my kids to ask me, "Why did you go along with a system that you knew wasn't right?" "Why didn't you ask questions?" "Why didn't you demand answers?" They will know, because I ask!
