This morning I woke and herd a THUCK on the window above my head at first I thought it was a nut or something and I did not want to get out of my warm bed in the chilly morning. But my sister was curries so she went to investigate.



When she returned she was carrying a little gray bird it looked a little dazed but not hurt. She showed it to dad and he said to put it in something and see if it gets better. We put it in a bucket with hay and watched.

Tuesday my sister and I went fishing and bathing in the creek. I didn't bring a cup for my hair so I was

flinging my hair from side to side to get it wet and rinsed.



When we were done, we went home and I was chatting with my mom in the kitchen when my hand went up to my ear (I tend to twirl my ear ring when I’m talking) and lo and behold my beautiful gold stud earring with the tiny ruby was gone.



“Mom! Mom!” I said, “My earring is gone!”
