michael jackson...an unschooler at heart?

i was watching the michael jackson farewell yesterday (and actually am watching it again as i type this on video tape) and i got to thinking about his heart essence. it came from a higher place. an authentic place. his soul is beautiful and lives on, i'm sure.

i don't know whether or not his children are homeschooled or if they've gone to school, but looking at how michael created neverland for children to come and stay and enjoy...by having ice cream available 24/7 to just allowing them to BE and play and be loved unconditionally. it made me think, how unschooly is that. radically unschooly.

michael went thru so much judgement and accusation that that may be why he might not have unschooled his children...but i wonder if he didn't unschool them, if he wanted to. i'm sure he did. his inner child wanted to be free...pursued his passions and had the ultimate compassion for others.

michael embodied LOVE. he lives in my heart. and will as long as i live...and probably thereafter...i truly believe that michael jackson was a radical unschooler at heart...even living the law of attraction, manifesting not only for himself but for humanity.

i think it is no coicidence that it was michael's heart that physically went into cardiac arrest. that is where he lived from. that heart was full of pure and utter love. it was his core. but i do believe that core has not died...only the shell that encapsuled his spirit has. his spirit exists and i also believe that the vibration of this is still touching humanity. his child-like nature was beauty-full and inspiring. how he connected with others was something for humanity to take to heart. i'm so grateful for identifying with him. he reminds me of my own existence. and that inspires me to be an even better woman...a better daughter, a better mother, a better friend-a better acquantaince and someday with someone, a better partner/mate. and to be even better to our planet.

michael reminds me to live my truth. and to empower others...especially my children so that they may empower themselves and thus, others as well.

The Jackson kids are homeschooled, though quite conventionally so from what I've heard, they have tutors and homework and so forth. I've been pretty annoyed at how the media is pouncing on that fact; they want so badly to find something wrong with his parenting, but his kids seem well-adjusted so it just turns to "but they've never been to schooool!" Considering just how famous their dad was and how reclusive he had to be by necessity, I find it hilarious that *homeschooling* is supposed to be the thing that's abnormal about his kids' lives.

From everything I've heard he was a fairly conventional, though not strict, parent who tried hard to make sure his kids wouldn't be "spoiled". Pretty far from unschooling, but so far as I can tell he was kind to his children and took them seriously.
