Hi friend....do you believ it has taken me this long to get around to joining this group. Guess I am feeling the need for a little more connection with like-minded folks. Think of you often. Got me new computer so once I figure out Skype we will plan a kitchen day.

Hope you, hubby and kids are well,

Love as always, Ronda

Hi Zoa, We live in Alenxandria, VA - so maybe not too far from you? My daughter is almost 5 and my son will be 2 this summer.

I think it would be amazing to have some kind of unschooling gathering near DC!

hi zoa, sorry it took a while to get back to you. boulder is an awesome place to raise kids. there is a smallish but close knit group of unschoolers and tons of hsers and eclectic hsers. in general i think theres a lot of good family stuff going on. if it was near the ocean we'd still be there :) and we just may go back eventually anyway! feel free to ask me more questions if you have them

It's FAHA, Fredericksburg Area Homeschoolers' Association. Here's a quote from our main page "FAHA (Fredericksburg Area Homeschoolers Association) is more than a homeschool support group, we are an intentional community. We are a secular, close-knit, like-minded group of homeschoolers living around Fredericksburg, Virginia who meet at least once a week--regularly on Wednesdays--for projects, activities, field trips, and park days. We share the values of attachment parenting, respectful parenting, and natural living. We are eclectic homeschoolers (with strong leanings toward unschooling), with children ranging from baby to 12 years old."

I didn't see your comment when you left it WAY back in September, but now I do have a cool unschooling group that I'm a part of here in Fred. so I can give a much happier response now!

The unschooling weekend sounds like so much fun! Our spring is filling up fast, though, and we have other plans that weekend. I hope you have a good turnout and a lot of fun!

Hi Zoa,

It is great to hear from others who share this wonderful way to live life with our kids! Getting together sounds like a great idea also. I have not met anyone in my area into the RU style so seeing your message is what shall we say...Cool....

Hi! I actually just started classes this summer so am def a beginner but love it! The music, dance moves and "costumes" are so amazing! If I had more time, I'd love to devote more time to it but as it is, I just barely make an hour a week class :)

My instructor dances in this youtube video...she is the tiny one dancing...this group is from the troupe.

Sorry, we passed you. We ended up time crunched after visiting with hubby's family in NH. We missed the family in MA, also. We'll be back in the area next year and would love to visit with you then!
