Hi friend....do you believ it has taken me this long to get around to joining this group. Guess I am feeling the need for a little more connection with like-minded folks. Think of you often. Got me new computer so once I figure out Skype we will plan a kitchen day.
hi zoa, sorry it took a while to get back to you. boulder is an awesome place to raise kids. there is a smallish but close knit group of unschoolers and tons of hsers and eclectic hsers. in general i think theres a lot of good family stuff going on. if it was near the ocean we'd still be there :) and we just may go back eventually anyway! feel free to ask me more questions if you have them
It's FAHA, Fredericksburg Area Homeschoolers' Association. Here's a quote from our main page "FAHA (Fredericksburg Area Homeschoolers Association) is more than a homeschool support group, we are an intentional community. We are a secular, close-knit, like-minded group of homeschoolers living around Fredericksburg, Virginia who meet at least once a week--regularly on Wednesdays--for projects, activities, field trips, and park days. We share the values of attachment parenting, respectful parenting, and natural living. We are eclectic homeschoolers (with strong leanings toward unschooling), with children ranging from baby to 12 years old."
sorry i haven't gotten back with you sooner about your weekend plans.
i am not off this weekend and will have to miss this one unfortunately. i am going to check this site more often so if i see something early enough i can put in for it at work. i really wish my job was more like RU wouldn't that be great. have a great weekend i think its going to be awesome weather.
i have just read the details of your invite and when i go to work tomorrow i will check and see if i have either sat. or sun. or both off and let you know when i get home. it sounds wonderful..
thank you for the great info and i tried to set myself up to follow this blog but not sure if i did it correctly. i really want my son and i to get out there more. we seem to have been hibernating as of late.
It is great to hear from others who share this wonderful way to live life with our kids! Getting together sounds like a great idea also. I have not met anyone in my area into the RU style so seeing your message is what shall we say...Cool....
Hi! I actually just started classes this summer so am def a beginner but love it! The music, dance moves and "costumes" are so amazing! If I had more time, I'd love to devote more time to it but as it is, I just barely make an hour a week class :)
My instructor dances in this youtube video...she is the tiny one dancing...this group is from the troupe.
