Hi Julie. We are stopping in Ithaca for two days on the way to the SHINE conference. Do you want to get together and do something? Whatever you're comfortable with - just chat, give an IC tour, or come hike some waterfalls with us.
lol at least the only thing I'm "building" is a hedge row but it's 50m long and the site is just a field so we're turfing and trenching - very heavy work. Still it could be worse, I could be building a house ;-) I hope you keep your sanity and it all comes together for you all.
Hi Julie - looks like you've been too busy with the baby to be back here. When was s/he born? I had a boy on 23 Sep (was due 6 Oct) And we moved to Ireland (from London) when he was just over 2 months. I'm just on to update things and saw your message to me.
Julie, I came across your page and had to drop a note. We have so many interests in common. I lived in Dryden growing up; I noticed the cosleeping items in your sidebar; and you're participating in an IC (though we're just researching and disappointed we can't do it without moving).
Hey, Julie! If someone really wants the Naomi book go ahead and give it to her/him. The Teen Lib book is the one I'm really after, but I'm Always jonesing for more books!

I thought of you when I saw this white hawk story...

Liam's (my friends little guy) fave snack. the crust is what is brown and cheese that is browned is the best part. :) Micah learned about the baby on the way around Christmas so he connected the two in his mind and was sure that baby Jesus was a girl...i have to admit at being a little pleased at his feminist leanings. :)
Yeah, I had a lot of fun writing it! It was cool to kind of look back at my reasons and everything because I hadn't really thought about it all a whole lot as of late.
Nice to see you here! I have been hearing about this on the lists. My son is really into facebook so I thought I would see how this works. I recently started another yahoo group - TCunschoolers for unschoolers in the Tompkins County area- just let me know if you (or anyone in the area) are interested and I can add you as a member. Another White Hawk member contacted me about coming to the unschooling meeting at NLLC on August 18th. I had heard things were moving along up there- I am glad to hear it.
I'm going to check your blog, sure we can share experiences and activities to do with our children. if you read spanish you can have a look at our blog: http://fishtobirds.blogspot.com
Thank you. I see all of this as a celebration of life. I hope that more people are able to wake up and see the world through our children's eyes. Wouldn't that be incredible?
Thank you for the compliment, julie...larimeloom is mostly my oldest daughters doing...I mostly give support-getting her out of tight spots, ideas and and some handywork...this used to be what I did years ago when I had only a few little ones...Im so happy she took the business over! we have a lot of fun.
I wanted to say that I always enjoy your thoughtful writings...thanks for sharing so freely!

There's something super-sweet about that happy face with a pile of strawberries. I really loved that one!
Thanks for participating. It's so awesome to have many "voices".
