We're coming out for the conference over Memorial Day and plan to spend part of the week before or after touring the area - Portland to Eugene most likely.
Oregon is one of the area's we're considering and this seems like a good way to meet a bunch of the locals and see the area.
We'd enjoy meeting up while we're out there. I'll be contacting locals to see which areas to focus on once our travel dates are set.
Shoot! It's turning out to be pretty cool. FINALLY got our house the Monday before Tday. Today Aiden got a cat! Elina gets one on Sat (her bday). we're lookin at a dog for Gage.. Got high speed internet today!! (never had it before...AND we can put more than one 'puter on it...woo HOO!!) I'm singing a solo in the community Messiah. We're only like 3 blocks from the library. Life is Good. I hope to make it to a Corbett gettogether. would be great to see you and yours, Mary
Sorry I didn't see your message sooner. I have been absolutely flooded with all the messages from the Yahoo groups this week. I've really found a lot of the discussions to be interesting though. We are still interested in skating together. Alli was on the ice tonight but the arena is closed tomorrow for the holidays through Friday. We have family visiting over the holiday weekend but will probably be skating December 6th (Saturday). If it looks like that day would be good for skating, let us know. We could go to either rink.
We will be at Sherwood from at least 1-3 tomorrow. I don't know how to send a private message on here but if you do, please send one and I'll reply with our phone number. Then you can get in touch if you are able to meet up with us for some ice skating.
We skate Tuesday and Wednesday between 3-6pm and Saturday or Sunday from 1-3. We are going tomorrow actually. She has been skating since April although she's only become passionate about it the past 3 months or so. I only skate with her on the weekends along with her younger brothers. She's better than I am at this point.
I saw on your blog that Margaux likes to ice skate. Which rink do you go to? I take my daughter Alli, 7 to the Sherwood ice rink 2-3 days a week for coaching or open skate. She is always looking for new skating friends. =)
I don't know if we are busy or idle. I never feel pressed for time except in those last few minutes of putting together dinner. Or when we just get back from somewhere and I want to sit down for a couple of seconds and everyone else wants something to eat or drink or whatever and I spin my wheels trying to get what they want but feeling ever so much like I just want stillness. I don't necessarily do well with transitions. But we seem to be doing more and going more and having more going on. We are probably busier.
I am also on the computer less. Linnaea is enjoying being on it more and the old clunky one from 8 years back feels so slow and awkward that I just can't quite use it for more than levelling up Simon's Troll on WoW or his friend's or Linnaea's human. I like speed and a big screen and a nice mouse.
How are you? You blogged the other day that was cool to read. I love the pictures of Chamille with the skin flaking away and the amazingly sallow complexion. I wish I lived near enough to go to the haunted house and see y'all in action.
There was no reply button in the Ideology discussion. (Argh.) I tend to state things a bit strongly... where I would want to say "for me" or in some way indicate that it's about me not every person in general. Anyway, that's the way I was way back then. I was not a hothouse flower, for sure. I'm definitely not that way anymore!
Anyhoo. I enjoyed that thought provoking conversation. Howdy, Jenny. :)
