The other pieces are pink/green sea glass hand cut to fit and done with sand colored grout on wood. it is done on the sides also. My trick for light reflection behind pieces is silver tape. Some things i made look like they are lighted within because of that! I seal my mosiacs with grout sealer and later use a uv polyurethane spray so if they're outside they don't fade or crack. That stuff is great for photos that might be on a wall that's hit by sunlight or in a car. One tip of the star is slightly darker due to a repair when making. Just the tiny tip's edge. looks like it's wet but that can be painted if desired...looks homemade,lol. I hardly notice it.

Freddy is a 6 and 1/2 , attachment parented kid. I'mm almost 45! and loving life!!!!!

Unschooling has been great to us. I feel no pressure anymore, it's like the weight of the world has been lifted off my back. I get to school Thor on what he likes. And with it I am getting more patince with things. And I love it. No more rushing around to make sure were at school on time anymore. :) YEAH! We're living minute by minute.
As for my art. I work with all kinds of things. I make handmade purses out of clothes. Eveything is hand stiched. I work with poly. clay, paint, pen and ink. I use pretty much anything I can get my hands on. Nothing is safe. :) Right now, I am working on a lamp shade made of craft sticks.
I have to ask you on your photos, is that a Russian tortise?
